What is "Rainbow Capitalism" and why does LGBouTiQue oppose it?
Rainbow Capitalism (or pink capitalism) is when large corporations use our symbols and flags exclusively in June to generate profit, without ever supporting our struggles during the rest of the year. At LGBouTiQue, we advocate 365 days a year. Our brand is managed by an personally involved founder, our production is local, and we donate a portion of our profits to projects linked to our communities.
How does the donation redistribution work?
We aim for a permanent redistribution percentage of 5%. During the month of June, we add an additional 5% bonus (amounting to a total target of 10%). For the "Ally" price, the support is even more significant: we target 30%.
How can I track the history of these payments?
We will regularly publish (at least once a year) a payment report. Follow us on social media or leave your email in our newsletter to receive alerts when these reports are published.
Why do the Ally Socks cost more?
At LGBouTiQue, we believe that being an ally goes deeper than just being convinced of equality for all. We invite our dear allies to support us by investing in our communities and our projects. We offer the Ally socks at a higher price because a larger percentage (we target 25% in June) of the total amount will be donated to LGBTQIA+ initiatives.
🎁 The Suspended Sock
What is the Pending Sock and how does it work?
The Suspended Sock is inspired by a community solidarity concept in France. The idea is to buy a virtual item named "Suspended Sock", but this item is intended to be gifted to someone who does not have the means to buy it for themselves. To learn more, visit our page dedicated to this act of solidarity.
Who will receive these Suspended Socks and when?
All pairs accumulated thanks to your generosity will be distributed on October 11th, during Coming Out Day (International Coming Out Day). We will organize a giveaway via a dedicated hashtag on our social media channels to gift these pairs to members of the community who do not have the financial means to afford them or who need this moral support.
I want to buy a pair for myself AND a Suspendedn Sock. How do I do that?
It is absolutely possible! Add your favorite models to your cart, then add the "Suspended Sock" product. You can, of course, gift several of them. Proceed normally with your purchases until checkout. Our system knows exactly how to process these orders: your pairs will be shipped to your address, and the pending items will remain virtually with us, in our solidarity inventory until October 11th, where we will take care of everything. No additional shipping fees will be charged to you for the "Suspended Sock" products you funded.
Where and how can I track the progress of these donations?
You can track the progress of this solidarity inventory on our homepage. There is a counter that increases in real-time with every new order of a Suspended Sock. We also regularly update this data on our Social Media channels. As October 11th approaches, we will keep you informed of upcoming actions via our newsletter.
📦 Shipping, Sizes & Returns
Where are your socks manufactured and delivered?
To escape fast-fashion, we work exclusively with Print-on-Demand partners as close to you as possible. If you order from Europe, our main supplier is located in Germany.
What are the shipping times and rates?
Standard shipping: we offer free delivery within the European Union. Since each pair is produced on-demand, it takes around 10 business days for your package to arrive in your mailbox.
How do I choose my size?
Our socks are very stretchy and comfortable. We offer three universal size charts:
- S : Europe: 35 to 38 // US: Women 4-6, Men 3-5
- M : Europe: 39 to 42 // US: Women 7-10, Men 6-10
- L : Europe: 43 to 46 // US: Women 11-14, Men 10-13
If you are hesitating between two sizes, we advise you to pick the larger size for maximum comfort.
Are the packages discreet? (Safety & "In the closet")
Yes, absolutely. We know that not everyone can safely display their colors at home or around their relatives. Our shipping envelopes are completely neutral (with no explicit LGBouTiQue logo or flag). Furthermore, if you are looking for absolute discretion in your daily life, our Camoflag collection is designed specifically to wear your colors in a stylish, fashionable and subtle way, without drawing unwanted attention.
What if I receive a defective product?
If you notice any issue upon receiving the product, do not touch anything. Contact us and we will instruct you on how to proceed with returns, at our expense of course. For more information, consult our return policy page.
What if I change my mind?
Orders are processed within 24 hours, so please contact us as soon as possible. Past this timeframe, orders are sent to the suppliers and we cannot guarantee order cancellation. For European Union citizens, EU's regulations grant you a 14-day right of withdrawal, without justification. Please note, however, that this does not apply to customized items.
