Know Us Better

Welcome to LGBouTiQue!

A shop owned by a Black queer woman who grew up between Africa and France. She is also a huge fan of personalized socks. For her, they're a powerful, everyday, and subtle expression of identity.

As a 5-foot-tall woman with hips that never fit the fashion industry's standards, she has always had to adapt. From clumsy clothing sketches to sewing tutorials, she finally bought her first machine. Her friends loved it, encouraged her to take the plunge... and the adventure began.

She has always hated the way capitalism used our identities without supporting our communities. In June, the whole world turns colorful for Pride. But what about the rest of the year? Our identities don't disappear on July 1st. We exist 365 days a year. So she decided to do something about it.

Our manifesto:

  • Zero Rainbow Capitalism: Our collections last all year round, not just in June.
  • Solidarity as a tradition: Designed by us for us, a portion of each sale is donated to initiatives within our communities. For those who can't afford their own, we offer you a possibility to buy them a pair with our Suspended Socks.
  • No performative allyship: Our ally products cost more and a bigger portion of that price is donated
  • Ethical & Sustainable: Our products are made in an eco-responsible way in Europe.
  • Educational Hub: Check out the articles on our blog to learn more about our cultures, our communities, and our struggles.

At LGBouTiQue, pride doesn't last a month. It's worn with every step, all year round.
